Forms of Engagement

Eco Kampung & Farm Tour
To many people, “Kampung” is a physical space but to our community, it represents the “Gotong Royong” spirit of mutual help where many people from all walks of life contributed in its building process. Through a guided tour around our kampung, to better understand the effort we put in place to build an circular ecosystem on sustainability. The story had inspired many people to re-evaluate our relationship between people, nature and even ourselves. Redefine ‘Sustainability’ beyond methods or technologies, but the “Ownership” that powers the change for a better future.

Option 01: Creative Wooden Hanger Making

In this activity, participants will get to make a Wooden Hanger using recycled wood from pallets and personalize it with decorations made possible through a technique known as Pyrography (wood burning).
They will learn to handle carpentry tools such as hand drill, saw, try square and sanding block. Through the making process, participants acquire some basic life skills like patience, focus, and mindfulness while handling the tools.
Through this activity, it’s the ability to see beyond a piece of upcycled pallet wood, turning it into an elegant, beautiful, and functional piece of creation to serve its purpose.

Option 02: Wooden Laptop Stand Making

This laptop-stand (or you may call it a book stand) workshop is a meaningful workshop, which leaves you delighted at what you can achieve with your own hands.

You will learn how to create a laptop/book stand out of 100% recycled pallet wood! It is even height-adjustable, which will boost your productivity at work and reduce your eye and neck strain!

The minimalist pine construction is simple yet robust. Learn the very basics of wood reclamation and woodworking with tools such as Japanese saws, table saws and thickness planers.

By the end of the session, you will have a beautiful laptop/book stand hand-crafted by yourself to take home.
