This course covers the methods and practices used to implement data engineering solutions on Microsoft Fabric. It walks through designing and building effective data loading patterns, data architectures, and orchestration processes across the Fabric platform. Along the way, the course addresses ingesting and transforming data from a variety of sources, as well as securing, managing, and monitoring the resulting data engineering solutions so they can be operated reliably at enterprise scale.

This course is intended for data professionals who already have experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading. It is designed for practitioners who need to create and deploy data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric for enterprise-scale data analytics, and who have prior experience manipulating and transforming data using SQL, PySpark, or Kusto Query Language (KQL).

By the end of this course, learners will be able to design and implement end-to-end data engineering solutions in Microsoft Fabric. This includes ingesting and orchestrating both batch and real-time data using Dataflows Gen2, pipelines, Apache Spark, and Eventstream; building and organizing lakehouses with Delta Lake tables and medallion architecture; implementing and querying data warehouses with T-SQL and Copilot assistance; and securing, monitoring, and administering Fabric environments through CI/CD practices, access controls, and governance tooling.
